Jack “Cowboy” Watkins

Blythe, GA – Jack “Cowboy” Watkins, loving husband, of Faye Watkins, left his earthly residence and went to be with Jesus on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2011.

He was an adoring father, grandfather, and great grandfather, as well as an avid fisherman.  He had an open smile and nev er knew a stranger.  “Cowboy”, as he was known to his friends and family, was the son of the late Herb and Anna Bell Watkins, and a native of Okla homa .  He was an ordained Deacon, a retired electrician, and a former member of IBEW #584 of Tulsa , Okla homa .

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Randall Watkins (Janice), Steve Watkins (Carla Powell), Wendy Hammack (Ronnie), Terri Bush, and Jeff Frazier (Rebecca Watson); 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters.

A memorial celebration of his life will be held Monday, May 16, at 11:00 am from Hopeful Baptist Church and will be led by his dear friend and pasto r, Reverend Greg Glover.
