Calop Jackson Bradford, Jr. passed away on March 28, 2022 at the age of 77 in Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, GA after battling a series of illnesses, with his daughter in law Tammy at his hospital bedside.
Memorial service to be held at the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry on Wednesday, April 13 at 7 pm Located at 2553 Washington Road in Augusta.
Jack was born in Memphis, TN on March 22, 1945. He served as an MP and K9 dog handler in the Air Force serving in Vietnam and the Philippines. After returning to the US he transferred to the Army serving proudly for over 20 years.
After retiring he continued to serve and help others as a dedicated Mason, a Shriner, a Sojourner and a member of the Scottish Rites.
Jack leaves behind a son, Troy Hudson and daughter-in-law Tammy Hudson; four grandchildren – Troy and wife Elizabeth, Tiffany and significant other Jared, Tasha and husband Matt, and Tyler and his wife Samantha. He also leaves behind four great grandchildren – Liam, Claire, Jack and Julia. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Anna Slaughter. Other family he is leaving behind are a younger sister Lindy and younger brother Michael along with three nieces and three nephews.
Jack is predeceased by his wife Karen Kathy Bradford, his father CJ Bradford, Sr., his mother Mary Frances Prince, his stepfather Tommy Prince and his older sister Helen.
Jack was a loyal friend, a wonderful Dad and Grandpa and Great Grandpa. And he will be very missed.
