J. Frank Stewart, Jr. Real Estate Broker

Augusta, GA – J. Frank Stewart, Jr., devoted  husband of  56 years to Estelle W. Stewart, entered into rest Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Chaplain Findley Limehouse of Regency Hospice officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Stewart was born in Frink, FL and was a real estate broker with Frank Stewart Realty.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Vaughn Stewart Sciortino; his sons, L. Glenn Stewart and his wife Judy, and Virgil Stewart and his wife Jeanette; grandchildren, Greg Lamb, Mark Lamb, Todd Stewart, Lisa Leichert, Mileah Giue, and Carrie Whitley; and ten great grandchildren.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

  1. Frank was a dear friend for a lot of years. I certainly enjoyed knowing Frank and working with him over the years. For a short while, Frank, Jamie, and I were in the mortgage business together. He was a real delight to know.

  2. Estelle, Glenn, Virgil & Von I am so very sad to learn of Frank’s passing. He was a wonderful man, he loved his wife and family very much. He was so thoughtful and caring of his friends. He will surely be missed. You are all in my prayers.

  3. Mr. Frank and Miss Estelle were very special friends of my mothers, Sarah McCormack, who passed in Dec. 2009. She thought so very much of them. I still recall as a little girl and in years to follow growing up and never forgetting the kindness and strong family unit that the Stewarts’shared. Mr. Stewart was a kind and caring man. My prayers are with you all.

    Frank was always a friend to me. He would always help me when I needed information about real eatate.

    Frank will be missed by many people. He was always thoughtful and helpful to his friends.
