Augusta, GA – Helen A. Sullivan, 84, beloved wife of 63 years to William “Robbie” Sullivan, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors with the Reverend Dewain French and Brian Plyler officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sullivan, daughter of the late W.C. and Inez Adams, was born in Monroe, NC, but had made Augusta her home for most of her life. She had worked in the Springs Cotton Mill in Lancaster, SC and in the King and Sibley Mills in Augusta. She was a Christian lady who loved her Lord and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, William Gregory and Sam Hogan; and two brothers, William Adams and Danny Adams.
With her husband she is survived by her two daughters, Brenda S. Gregory and Frankie S. Hogan-Lanham (Tommy); and her son, Robin E. Sullivan (Joyce); her five grandchildren, Brian Plyler (Lisa), Cindy Allen (John), Sammy Hogan, Jr., Robert Plyler and Kenneth O. Gregory; as well as six great grandchildren; three sisters, Sybil Lynn (Fred), Carol Caskey and Bonnie Tweet all of Lancaster, SC; one brother, Gene Adams (Marcene) also of Lancaster.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service.
