Augusta, GA – Geneva Young Perry, 90, of Balfour St, wife of the late James M. Perry, entered into rest Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at 11:00 AM, from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors, with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Perry, daughter of the late Charlie and Katie Lee Whitaker Young, was a native of Augusta. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was an avid gardener and a wonderful Southern cook.
She was preceded in death by her sons, J. Marion Perry and Ronald E. Perry, one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by daughters and sons in law Glenda and Chris Fairey, of Titusville, FL, and Karen and Dewey Michelin, of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Hamilton Young, of Lexington, SC; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Craig Fairey, Chad Fairey, Ron Perry, David Perry, Dale Perry, Angie Wills, and Rhonda Mankin.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 29, from 10:00 am until the hour of the service.
