Frankie Walden Lamb

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Frankie Lamb, 80, beloved wife of Mr. Robert Jackson Lamb, entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior on April 7, 2016, at Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with the Rev. Joe Lennon and Rev. Randy Walden officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be nephews Randy Lamb, Hugh Jenkins, Joel Walden, Craig Huff, Jason Lamb, and Vance Anderson. 

Mrs. Lamb was preceded in death by her son, Robert Terrell Lamb; her siblings, Tunnie Walden, Mildred Jenkins, Johnnie Anderson, Rev. Herman Walden, Ray Walden, and Mary Huff.

Survivors include her son, Barry Lamb (Jeanna) of Blythe, Georgia and daughter, Tina Lamb Lancaster (Walter), of Augusta, Georgia. Other survivors include brothers, Reverend Thurman Walden of Hephzibah, Macon Walden, Jr, of Louisville, GA, and Bennie Walden, of Gibson, GA; sister Ruth Searcy, of New Castle, IN; granddaughters Crystal Brodie (Robert) of Aiken, SC and Tabitha Datka (Stephen) of Augusta.

Mrs. Lamb was the daughter of the late Macon and Lucy Swint Walden, Sr. She was a native of Gibson and had made Augusta her home for most all her adult life. Mrs. Lamb was a homemaker and attended the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home two hours prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Flowers are welcome.

  1. Tina & Barry, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your precious mother. She was always so pleasant & welconeing to me. I treasure her as my sister-in-law & I will always think fondly of her. This will be a hard adjustment to deal with but your treasured memories of times with your mom will help you through.
