Earline Martin

Blythe, GA – Earline Ruth Joslin Martin, 71, wife of the late Herman Hollis Martin , entered into rest Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Dennis Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Robert Davenport, Spencer Dixon, Derrick Dixon, Bill Pittman, Jason Haney and Halver Dixon.

She was born in Graysville, GA to the late Earl and Iva Nason Joslin. She retired from The Fresh Market and had worked at Sky City and Bi-Lo. She was an expert at crocheting and cross-stitch. She loved crocheting for family members and friends and had won numerous awards with her crafts at the Exchange Club Fair. She also donated items to the Neonatal Unit at Georgia Regents University.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Bertha McManus and a brother Edward Vernon Joslin.

Survivors include her children, Dianne Martin Pittman (Bill) of Blythe and Steven Martin (Sandra) of Hephzibah; grandchildren, Jenny Haney (Jason), Stephanie Drake (Steven) and Thomas Perkins and one great-grandchild; sister, Barbara Johnson of Hephzibah; sister-in-law, Tommie Martin Odum of Augusta; most special neice, Lynn Dixon (Dennis) of Augusta and numerous neices and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M., until 2:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
