Dr. Ed Moon Edmonds
Augusta, GA – Dr. Ed Moon Edmonds passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019. He was born in Enterprise, Alabama in 1937. Ed earned a B.A. at Stetson University, a M.S. at Auburn University, and completed his Ph.D. in Psychology at Texas Christian University.

Ed moved to Augusta in 1966 and began his teaching career at Augusta College. During his tenure, he co-authored more than 25 research studies, received the 1989 Louis K. Bell Research Award, and was acknowledged for his service and scientific contributions by the National Science Center in 1990. He also served as Chairman of the Psychology Department and retired as Professor Emeritus from Augusta State University in 1998.
Ed is survived by his two children: Dr. Keith Edmonds and Brian Edmonds; and five grandchildren: Dylan Edmonds, Hunter Edmonds, Caroline Edmonds, Stephen Edmonds, and Andrew Edmonds.
