Donald Hamburg

Augusta, GA – Donald Hamburg, 66, husband of Cathy Hamburg, entered into rest Sunday, April 9, 2017, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held Friday, April 14, 2017, at 5:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors.

Mr. Hamburg, son of the late Alvin and Marjorie Bork Hamburg, was a native of Madison, WI. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as a truck driver and was a member of the VFW Post #649.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sonya Jones (Robby), of North Augusta; his son, Matthew Hamburg, of Augusta; his grandchildren, Savanna Jones and Stella Jones; his brother, Dave Hamburg (Karin), of Bettendorf, Iowa; his sister, Sheryl Sager (Tim), of South Beloit, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 14, 2017, from 4:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.

    I am so sorry to hear about Donald passing away. May God be with you and your Family during this time. Mr. Donald was truly a Great Friend. He will be missed by so many. God Bless You All.
