David Moore

Augusta, GA – Mr. David D. Moore, 81 husband Catherine Wright Moore, entered into rest on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the residence.
Funeral services will be held from the Bible Deliverance Temple, on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., with Dr. Kelly McKnight and Reverend Charlotte McGee-Ginn officiating. Mr. Moore will lie in state at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
Mr. Moore was born in Cleveland, TN to the late Rev. Elmer and Monnie Wilson Moore and was a US Army Korean Conflict veteran. He was a retired Pipefitter with International Paper and a member of the Bible Deliverance Temple and Local union 1803 . Mr. Moore loved to hunt, NASCAR, and classic cars. After retiring Mr. Moore owned the Village Barber Shop.
He was preceded in death by his son John Michael Beck.
He is survived by his his sons, Donnie and Debbie Beck of Hephzibah and Danny and Rita Beck of Martinez; his daughters, Linda and Larry Scott of San Antonio, TX, and Brenda and Jim Adcox of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Joe Taylor, Wayne Miller, Terry Hickman, Clyde Harkins, Joe Arico and Jimmy Stewart.
If desired, memorials may be made in Mr. Moore’s memory to the Bible Deliverance Temple, 1855 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA, 30904.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
