Daisy B. Cook
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at 1:00 P.M., with the Reverend Daniel Hedgepeth officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Cook, daughter of the late Lester and Lena Gaither Brake, was a native of Rocky Mount, NC, and had made Augusta her home since 1952. She had been a member of the South Augusta Women’s Club, she loved ceramics and to bowl. Mrs. Cook was a former member of Gracewood Baptist Church and a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church where she had taught Primary Grade Sunday School, was a camp counselor, sang in the choir and volunteered for many activities.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy L. Williams; and her grandson, Jeremy L. Williams.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Anne and Dan Quinn of Snellville, GA, Donna J. and Derek Balbag of Beaverton, OR; her sister, William Ann Meeks of Tarboro, NC; her grandchildren, Patrick Quinn, April and her husband Roy Mills, Alison Balbag and Brittany Balbag; and her greatgrandchildren, Dylan Mills, Daisy Mills and Dawson Mills.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Wednesday.
