Clayton “Pete” O’Neal

Augusta, GA – Clayton “Pete” O’Neal, husband of Sara Milburn O’Neal entered into rest Sunday, August 20, 2017, at his residence.
 
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 1:00 P.M., from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with the Reverend Jerry Lightsey and Dr. Wayne Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
 
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
 
Mr. O’Neal, was born in Lyons, GA, to the late Henry and Ronie Murray O’Neal. He was a US Army WWII veteran and a  member of Collins Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.
 
Mr. O’Neal was preceded in death by a son, Jerry O’Neal and grandaughter, Sarah Jean O’Neal.
 
In addtion to his wife Mr. O’Neal is survived by his children,  Peggy Cason and her late husband Larry of Martinez, GA, Robert O’Neal and his wife Michele of Evans, GA and Marlene Weed and her husband Gene of Clemmons, NC; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
 
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Circle of Love 1800 Sunshine Road Blackville, SC 29817.
 
 The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home..
