Charlie R. Price, Jr. “Pete”

Augusta, GA – Charlie R. Price, Jr. “Pete”, 67, husband of Vivian Edgin Price, entered into rest Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Augusta University Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, with Jackie Ray Robinson officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Price, son of the late Charlie Roy Price Sr and Elouise Smith Price, was born in Sandersville, GA, and was a graduate of Augusta Area Technical College. He worked as an electrician with IBEW Local #1579, and was a member of the IBEW Local #1579 Brotherhood of Electricians. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Ella Lazenby (Ron), of Augusta, Charlie R. Price III (Sabrina), of Easley, SC, and Deana Sloan (Herbie), Augusta; his brother, Ken Price (Sandra), of Davisboro; his sister Ann Price, also of Davisboro; his sisters-in-law, Beverly Carpenter (Tony), of North Augusta, and Barbara Edgin, also of North Augusta; his special grandchildren, Kevin Taylor, Crystal Burton (Phillip), Jacob Lazenby, Katie Lazenby, Chelsie Price, and Tyler Price; his great grandchildren, Bennett and Brantley Burton, Marleigh Rancher, and Navadius Hendrix; and his four-legged son, George.

Pallbearers will be Ron Lazenby, Kevin Taylor, Charlie Price III, Jamie Price, Virgil Payton, Phillip Burton, Ellery Alford, Wayne Edgin, and Bennett Burton.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the IBEW Local #1579 Brotherhood of Electricians.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 106 SRP Dr, Evans, GA 30809.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
