C. H. “Spec” Longshore, Jr.

North Augusta, SC – C.H. “Spec” Longshore, Jr, 93, husband of Iris S. Longshore, entered into rest Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Stevens Park Health & Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, with Reverend Jerry Peele officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Longshore, son of the late Charlie Herbert, Sr, and Grace Dowd Longshore, was a native of Newberry, SC. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Georgia Power as a Line Supervisor and was a member of the Georgia Power Ambassadors. He was also a member of Burns Memorial Untied Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, and was named a lifetime member of the United Methodist Men.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Hal Longshore (Donna), of North Augusta; his daughter, Grace Bridges (Jimmy), of Grovetown; his grandchildren, Melissa Wagaman (Ken), Bryant Dewberry, and Kyle Dewberry; his step granddaughter, Keely Seider (Charles); his great grandchildren, Mallory and Mason Wagaman, and Cooper and Kailyn Seider; and his sister, Nita Chandler, of Kinards, SC.

Pallbearers will be Tony Brown, Mike Crawford, Tommy Williams, Harold Hoover, Gene Stewart, and Larry Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Georgia Power Ambassadors.

The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Assisted Living, North Augusta, for their excellent care.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
