  1. Brenda was my girlfriend for a few months. Almost every weekend I came up from Columbus to see her. I was in the Army and got shipped out to Germany for 30 months. I couldn’t let her waste her high school years waiting for me so I had to break up with her as much as it hurt both of us. I’m glad she found a man and had children and stayed near her family in Augusta. Wish we could have met sometime again but I really don’t know what there was left to say except I missed her a lot and I often wondered how it could have been if circumstances had been different. She was a sweet girl and I’m so sorry that she’s gone.
