Betty Ford

Augusta, GA – Betty Ford, 86, wife of the late William O.“Bill” Ford, entered into rest Saturday, July 26, 2014, at NHC Healthcare, North Augusta.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Burns Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Jerry Peele officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ford, daughter of the late John Leroy, Sr, and Catherine Grable Wilburn, was a native of Wichita, Kansas and was a homemaker. She was a member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church where she sang with the choir for 50 years. She was also a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class, the Happy Club and the Taylor-Etheridge Circle.
She was preceded in death by her brother Gene Wilburn and her sister Pat Giddings.
She is survived by her children, Ellen Conley, of Augusta, Steve (Nancy) Ford, of St. Simons, GA, Terry (Donna) Ford, of Augusta, Janet Ford, of North Augusta, SC, Patti (Stan) Smith, of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and Sue Moore, of North Augusta, SC; her brother, Roy (Barbara) Wilburn, of Wichita, KS; her sister-in-law, Carol Van Beeber, of Seattle, WA; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Conley, Matthew Conley, Dan Meyers, Wil Powell, Bill Ford, Bennett Ford, Kyle Williams, Kyle Smith, Kurt Williams, James Smith, Tommy Marsh, and Gerry Stevens, Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Burns Memorial Chancel Choir and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 30, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
