Barbara Ann Godbee

Augusta, GA – Barbara Ann Godbee, 54, entered into rest Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church with the Reverend Sandra Lightener officiating.

Mrs. Godbee, a native of Youngstown, Ohio had lived in the Augusta area for the past thirty five years, and was the daughter of the late Mark Edward Wolfe and Alma Mae Woods. She was a bus monitor for the Richmond County Board of Education and a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Toni Gronner.
She is survived by her sons, Hubert Parrish, III and his wife Diana, and Anthony Parrish; her daughter, Angela Bentley and her husband Dustin; her sisters, Darlene Watkins, Marlene Parrish and Jackie Parrish; as well as her grandchildren, Kori and Matthew Bentley, Tyler Sirmans and Alyssa Parrish.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to offset expenses be sent to Hubert Parrish, III, 465 Hickory Drive, North Augusta, SC, 29860.
The family will visit with friends Saturday, following the service at the church.

  1. When I think of Barb it is with fond memories of growing up in Youngstown from the time she spent with my family to days spent on Pasadena and Loveland and doing the silly things that teenagers do.
    My deepest sympathies go out to her sister Darlene and to Barbs’ children and grandchildren.

  4. My heart aches at the loss of my cousin Barbara. My love and prayers go out to Darlene, Barbs children & grandchildren. Many memories were shared as children before your move to GA. You may be gone, cuz, but you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace in God’s loving arms. Give my mother a great big hug from me.

  5. I also have very fond memories from 40+ years ago, when we visited family in Youngstown, going to see my three older first cousins at Uncle Mark’s was a treat. My love and sympathy to all.
