Barbara Ann Anderson

Martinez, GA – Barbara Ann Anderson, 81, wife of the late Lawrence “Buddy” Anderson, entered into rest Monday, December 4, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, with Reverend Wayne Todd and Reverend Perry Key officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Anderson, daughter of the late Robert Martin and Myrtle James Bailey, was a native of Augusta and retired from Kendall Company after 30 years. She loved her friends, loved to shop, and was very dedicated to her church. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Gail Grimstead.
She is survived by her children, Beverly Gray (Tad), of Augusta, Gary Anderson (Kim), also of Augusta, Terry Simons (Marc), of Evans, and Clay Wilkes (Tracy), of Grovetown; her grandchildren, Jennifer Huff (Mike), Brent Yaun (Jennifer), Meagan McCook (Ryan), Sarah Simons, Laura Ann Shipp (Ryan), Stacy Anderson, Timmy Simons, and Taylor Wilkes; her great grandchildren, Carson, Carley, Cameron, and Layla; her sisters in law, Isabelle Snellings, of Grovetown, Peggy Poole, of Evans, and Virginia Carlisle, of Augusta; her brother in law, Dale Grimstead, of Augusta; numerous nieces and nephews; and her very special friend, Carey Hembree, of Augusta.
Pallbearers will be Brent Yaun, Timmy Simons, Ryan McCook, Ryan Shipp, Mike Huff, and Bryan Kirkland.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 3965 Deans Bridge Rd, Hephzibah, GA 30815.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 6, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

  1. TO All THE FAMILY MEMBERS: Barbara and Budge were very special people…. always loving and kind. You children were so blessed to have both of them as parents. I know you all have broken hearts and we pray that God will shed His mercy on you all during this difficult time.

  2. Barbara was one of the sweetest people i know.My brother was so lucky to have know her.Barbara was loved by every one in the family.I am so sorry for you loss,I will be praying for every. but one thing is for sure she is breathing good now she is with God.
