AnnaMarie Brooks

Augusta, GA – AnnaMarie (Peppe) Brooks, 69, wife of the late Billy Marion Brooks, entered into rest Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock, from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors with Patrick Coffey officiating.

Interment will follow at Wrens Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Brooks, daughter of the late Waltraud Schwart Byrd and Dorsey Byrd was born in Germany, she was employed by Walmart where she was a stocker and later retired.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and James Byrd.

She is survived by her children, Tina M. Pinson (Troy), Robert W. Brooks, and Sabrina A. Grubbs (Johnny); her grandchildren, Kevin Pinson (Emily), Jessica P. Smith (Norman), Alison M. Lowdermilk (Joe), Shelby Welch, and BilliePage Brooks; her great grandchildren, Kinsley, Kennedy, Rhett, Brayden, Matthew, AnnaClaire, and Abigail; her siblings, Dorsey M. Byrd Jr. (Bernie), Delores M. Parker (Bob), Larry P. Byrd (Susan), and Betty L. Kokotovich (Kevin).

AnnaMarie had a love for antiques and a passion for birds. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. When spending time with her siblings, they loved telling stories and reminiscing on the good times.

The Honorary Pallbearers will be Dorsey Byrd, Larry Byrd, Johnny Grubbs, William Coffey, Jr., Kevin Kokotovich, Norman Smith, Hunter Grubbs and TJ Byrd.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, on Monday, September 5, 2022, at the funeral home.

    Our love, thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time We are so sorry to hear of Peppe’s passing. We enjoyed spending time with her at so many family events through the years. Please give Tina and the rest of the family our condolences. Praying for peace and comfort.
