Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Saturday, today, at 5:30 P.M. with the Elder Sam Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Riner, a native of Swainsboro, GA, made Augusta her home for all of her adult life. She was the daughter of the late Marcus D. and Phronie Moore Gunn. She was a member of the Augusta Primitive Baptist Church and had attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was an accomplished seamstress, an avid gardner and she loved to cook. Family, church, her children and her grandchildren were the most important things in her life.
In addition to her parents Mr. Riner was preceded in death by her brother, Herbert Gunn; and her grandchildren, Joshua Riner and Carly Adkins.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Joe and Sherry Riner, Jeff and Regina Brown, Scott and Robin Riner; her daughter and her husband, Tabatha and Sam Adkins; her grandchildren and their spouses, Jordan and Amber Riner, Jeffery Riner, Travis Riner, Fallon Riner, Clay Kincaid, Amanda and Mason Jones, Matthew Riner, Taylor Riner, Lindsey Riner, Christopher Riner, Cassidy Riner, Tucker Riner, William Riner, Ben and Lindsey Adkins, Beth and Russell Minton, Bailee Adkins and Preston Adkins; a brother and his wife, Hubert and Shirley Gunn; a sister, Ida Mae Kea; a sister-in-law, La Rose Gunn; as well as six great grandchildren.
