Augusta, GA – Mr. Timothy Mark Best, 54, entered into rest at his home on Thursday, May 26, 2011.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 3:30 P.M. in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Best of N. Augusta, SC; and a sister, Regina Ernst of Macon, GA; and many neices and nephews.

Cecil E. McCollum, Sr

McCollum photoAugusta, GA – MSG Cecil E. McCollum, Sr, US Army Retired, 77, husband of 54 years to Margie James McCollum, of Westbrook Rd, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Eisenhower Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26 2009, at 12:00 Noon., from the First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, with Dr. Al Wright, and Tom Bugg officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full Military Honors.
Mr. McCollum will lie in state at the Church from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
He loved the Lord and served the Lord. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro. He was also a member of the Spares and Pairs Sunday School Class.
Mr. McCollum was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Army, including tours in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was a member of the Richmond Masonic Lodge #412, Hephzibah, the American Legion Post #120, Waynesboro, the DAV Post Pendleton King #10, and the Richmond Chapter #483 order of the Eastern Star, Hephzibah. “I was Army, I am Army, I will always be Army.”
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons Cecil Edward McCollum, Jr, Augusta, and Reverend James Randall (Randy) McCollum and his wife, Theda, Newport News, VA; daughter and son in law, Leslie McCollum Mobley and Jeff Mobley, Snellville, GA; brothers and sisters in law, Charles and Carolyn McCollum, Brunswick, GA, Cary and Linda Gail McCollum, McIntosh, FL, Norman and Jan McCollum, Pensacola, FL, and Joe and Mary McCollum, Brunswick, GA; and grandchildren, Heather Elise McCollum, Hunter Evan McCollum, and Hannah Elise Mobley.
Active pallbearers will be members of the military.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro and the American Legion Post #120.
The family will receive friends this Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Sherrill Lauana Williams

Augusta, GA – Sherrill Lauana Williams, 56, wife of Charles D. Williams, of Henry Circle, entered into rest Sunday, July 26, 2009, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at 1:00 P.M., in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family and friends will assemble at the graveside.
Mrs. Williams, a native of Augusta, was the daughter of the late Shirley Morgan Danner, and was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her father, Charles L. Danner, Sr. of Hephzibah; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy D. and Renay Williams, Sr., of North Augusta, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Tray Dillingham of Augusta; and a brother, Charles L. Danner, Jr., of Hephzibah; as well as six grandchildren.
If desired, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family will receive friends this Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Charlotte Harwell Old

Augusta, Ga. – Mrs. Charlotte Harwell Old, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed into the hands of our Holy Father on Friday, July 17, 2009.

Funeral services will be held Monday , July 20, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Old was born in Atlanta Georgia daughter of the late James Todd Harwell and Lillian Evelyn Deas Harwell Ivy. She was an avid camper and enjoyed snorkling, fishing and visiting with her friends in Ft. Myers Beach Florida.
Like the ocean she loved her life ebbs and swelled. Her heart swelled with the birth of her only son , Ralph Erath Old, Jr. and again with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Renee Goodman, Chris Old, Erath Old and Sean Old, Amberly Brooks, Bailey Old, Daniel Clements, Riley Old and Carson Old.
She felt the depths of loss with the death of her true love Ralph Erath Old, Sr. and her sisters Evelyn DuRocher and Miriam Betts.
She also left behind her special Niece Diane and her wonderful husband Vester “Monty” Montgomery, her cherished friends Robert and Birdie Thompson and Jerry and Gretta Tilghman. Wonderful waitresses, Sharon, Abby and others from Ryan’s who served her every day and went above and beyond to meet her needs. Her precious families of Nottingham Dr. whos lives intertwind with hers for a life of memories.
The family extends very special appreciation to the Doctors and staff of the ninth floor of University Hospital for their kindness and devotion.
