Tulsa, OK, – Deborah Lynn “Cookie” Sawyer, 53, wife of the late Thomas Raiden Sawyer, Sr, entered into rest Sunday, July 25, 2010, in Tulsa, OK.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, at 10:00 AM, from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, with Dr. Ron McMillian officiating.

Interment will follow in Prickett Family Cemetery.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Chavous, Sr, and Nellie Chavous, and by her brothers, Raymond Chavous, Jr, and Bobby Chavous.

She is survived by her son Thomas R. Sawyer, Jr and his wife, Phylliese, of Edmond, OK; her daughter, Valerie Lynn Dodson, of Augusta; her grandchildren, Raiden Thomas Sawyer, of Edmond, OK, Merrellann Danell Sawyer, of Edmond, OK, Joylynn Ciana Sawyer, of Edmond, OK, and Broc Alexander Dodson, of Augusta; her sisters, Mary James, of Duluth, GA, Becky Burch, of Hephzibah, and Margaret Pittman, of Augusta; and her brothers, Samuel Chavous, of Tulsa, OK, Charles Chavous, of Hephzibah, Mark Chavous, of Augusta, Donald Chavous, of Blythe, and Barry Chavous, of Villa Rica, GA.

She was joined in death by her fiance, Kenneth Corbit.

Pallbearers will be Jim Burch, Nickalas Pittman, Jimmy Chavous, Tony Chavous, Phillip James, and Aubrey James, Jr.

William Andrew (Andy) Adams, Jr.

Waynesboro, GA – William Andrew (Andy) Adams, Jr., 59, husband of Martha McManus Adams, entered into rest Monday, July 26, 2010, at Brentwood Health.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, with the Reverend Tom Oliver officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Adams, son of the late William Andrew, Sr, and Lucille Delano Adams was born in Greensboro, GA. He was former owner of A&MCD Scale and Equipment and A&M One Stop. He was a member of the Waynesboro Exchange Club and Friendship United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert P. Adams.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, William Andrew (Drew) Adams, III, of Hephzibah; daughter, Elizabeth Camille Adams, of Pooler, GA; grandchild Dylan Grayson Fortner; sisters, Carmen Newman, of Williamson, GA and Del Adams, of Snellville, GA.
Active pallbearers will be William Andrew Adams, III, Al King, Wayne Kelley, Sr, Buster Ledbetter, Jeremy McManus, and James McManus, III.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Waynesboro Exchange Club.

Charley Weldon Anderson, Jr.

Washington, Ga. – Charley Weldon Anderson, Jr. ,86, husband of Ruth Hall Anderson entered into rest Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Wills Memorial Hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:00 A.M., in the Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Marion Jay officiating.
Mr. Anderson was born in Augusta to the late Charley W. and Lucy Agerton Anderson, Sr. He was a retired Mail Carrier a US Army WWII veteran and a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Other survivors are his daughter, Tamara Anderson Jowers of Martinez, GA; grandchild, Amber Rocque and one great-grandchild, Hailey Powell.

Augusta, Ga. – Clara Chapman Kilpartrick,79, entered into rest Friday, July 23, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Kilpatrick was born in Statesville, NC to the late Andrew and Ruth Hobbs Chapman, Sr. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and was a retired Lab Technician from Kendall Company .

Mildred F. O’Dell

Martinez, GA – Mildred F. O’Dell, 83, wife of the late William A. O’Dell, entered into rest Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2010, at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Minister Scott Patterson officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. O’Dell was born in Morgan County, AL, daughter of the late Ollie D. and Louise Sharp Fowler. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. Her whole life was devoted to her Church, her husband, her daughters, her grandchildren, and to her Church Family. She lived to serve and to sew.
She is survived by her daughters, Patsy O’Dell Smith of Martinez, DeVona O’Dell Eastman and her husband, David, of Martinez; grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Nicholas Smith, Lindsay Smith, Carolyn Eastman, and Will Eastman; sister, Wilda Garner of Hartselle, AL; brothers, Ollie Fowler, Jr, Ray Fowler, of Decatur, AL, and Joe Fowler, of Cleveland, OH; and her puppy, Bella.
Pallbearers will be Ben Lambright, Riley Kester, Larry Garner, Mike Fowler, Richard Worth, Ray Bowman, and Ken Garner.

Carolyn Fay Harvey

Augusta, Ga. – Carolyn Fay Harvey, 68, entered into rest Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia.

Mrs. Harvey was a native of Colorado and had made Augusta her home since 1976. She was a retired nurse from Gracewood State School and Hospital.

Willie Lee (Jr.) Oliver

Augusta, GA – Willie Lee (Jr.) Oliver, 65, husband of the late Janice Oliver, entered into rest Thursday, July 15, 2010.

Memorial services with full Military Honors, will be held, Tuesday, July 20, at 2:30 PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors.

Mr. Oliver was a native of Screven County and served twenty-two years in the United States Army, serving in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Randall Oliver and Inez Howell.
He is survived by sister, Janie Hobbs, of Augusta; brothers, Kelly Oliver, of Augusta, JL Lynch, Augusta, and Joe Lynch, of North Augusta; step sister, Joan Crosby, of Baxley, GA; step brothers, William Howell, of Thomson, and Terry Howell, of Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.

Timothy (Tim) Charles Hall

Timothy Charles Hall (Tim) of Grovetown GA, 48, died July 14, 2010 at his residence. Timothy was born September 8, 1961 in Bay City, MI. He was the son of Lyle Hall (living) and the late Linda Duval and step-mother Carol Hall (of 31 years) who both preceded him in death. Timothy and Rebecca Wagers Hall were married October 18, 2008. Timothy and first wife, Sandra, had two children. Sarah Lynn (Rob) Harding, 27 and Jeremy Charles Hall, 22. Timothy had three grand children: David Mell III (8), Madison Lynn (5) and Carter James Martin (3). Also, Timothy leaves to cherish fond loving memories with seven brothers and sisters: Eddie Harrison, Terri & Patrick Bowers, Bryan & Jacquelin Hall, Gerald & Patti Harrison, Don & Debbie Harrison, Randy Hall, and Kerri & Roger Zelmer, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and loving friends around the world.
Timothy graduated from Aikon-Fairgrove High School in 1980. He grew up in Fairgrove, MI. and spent 8 years in the Army. Timothy worked as a contractor with the Military Intelligence Community for 21 years.
Timothy lived in Fairgrove MI, Fayetteville NC, Naples Italy, Washington DC, and Augusburg Germany before settling in Augusta, GA. He had been employed at Fort Gordon since 1997. Timothy was employed at CACI supporting the 513th MI Brigade.
Timothy loved many outdoor activities such as fishing, golfing, camping, traveling with his family and friends and working in the garden he had planted for his beloved wife. But most of all he loved spending time with the most precious things closest to his heart which was his wife Rebecca, children, grandchildren and friends.
The viewing will be Sunday afternoon at Chance & Hydrick Funeral Home. Timothy will be buried at Westover Memorial Park near the Augusta National which is truly fitting as he was a major Masters fan. Please call the funeral home for further details.
